Templates give you a head start — install a community-built workflow and customize it for your store.

Pre-Built Templates

Benchwork ships with 7 built-in templates for the most common Shopify automations:

  • Abandoned Cart Recovery — Email customers who left items in their cart
  • Low Stock Alert — Get notified when inventory drops below threshold
  • Post-Purchase Thank You — Thank customers after fulfillment
  • VIP Customer Tagger — Tag high-value customers automatically
  • Daily Inventory Report — Scheduled inventory summary email
  • New Product Discount — Auto-create launch discount on new products
  • Refund Notification — Alert your team when a refund is processed

Template Marketplace

The Template Marketplace is a growing library of community-contributed workflows. Browse by category, sort by popularity, and install with one click.

After installation, the template is copied as a new draft workflow in your account. You can customize nodes, update configurations, and test before activating.

Publishing Your Own Template

If you've built a workflow that would help other merchants, you can share it:

  1. Open the workflow in the editor
  2. Click Share → Publish to Marketplace
  3. Add a name, description, category, and tags
  4. Submit for review

Before publishing, Benchwork automatically removes store IDs, API keys, and other sensitive configuration from your workflow. The review process ensures templates are safe, useful, and work as described.

Template Variables

Templates can include placeholder variables that get filled in when installed. For example, an email template might have {{YOUR_EMAIL}} as a placeholder that you replace during setup.

Rating and Reviews

After installing and using a template, you can leave a rating and review to help other merchants make informed decisions. You can only review templates you've installed, and each user can leave one review per template.
